Admission to the Maryland Science Center includes three floors of exhibits. The Planetarium is included with your admission, however there are specific showtimes and all shows are on a first come, first seated basis.

We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance and have waived our online service fees. Admission is valid for all day. You may arrive at any time during open hours.

Note to Members: When reserving member exhibit tickets, you should not be asked to enter any payment information unless visiting with more patrons than your current level admits free per day. If you are showing a balance due, please double check your membership level (you can upgrade at our ticket desk), ensure you are active, registered and signed in. The links to sign in/register are located at the upper right corner of this page. The price of your member exhibit tickets will revert to $0 when added to the cart when signed in or registered with the primary email associated with your active membership. Use the Member Adult and Member Child (3-12 yo) row options - the last two rows of the ticket ordering grid. All children under three years old are free and do not count toward your daily member admits.  Member priced IMAX tickets are sold in person on the day of your visit.

To reserve free member exhibit tickets, membership must be active. Expired members need to renew online or at the ticket desk before reserving free exhibit member tickets. 

Visitors utilizing ASTC Passport Program benefits must show a valid, visiting member card in person at the ticket desk. ASTC Passport Program reciprocal member exhibit tickets cannot be reserved in advance.

Access Science

This program is for Maryland residents only

The Maryland Science Center is committed to removing as many obstacles to participation as possible to ensure that all Marylanders have access to its exhibits and programs. Access Science allows anyone holding a Maryland SNAP or Maryland WIC card to purchase up to four tickets to the Science Center for $5 per person.

Admission to the Maryland Science Center includes three floors of exhibits. From astronomy to paleontology, the human body to physics and phenomena, the Science Center is packed with innovative exhibits that demonstrate the wonders of scientific discovery with a focus on open-ended exploration.

The Davis Planetarium is included with your admission, however there are specific showtimes and all shows are on a first come, first seated basis. The IMAX theater is available at an additional cost. IMAX tickets can only be purchased on site.  Click here to see our current hours.

• Limit 4 tickets per family per day
• Additional tickets will be charged regular price
• Children 2 and younger must be registered as "Toddler" and will receive free admission
• Your access program tickets will be reduced to $5 once you complete your registration and add your tickets to the basket, discounted tickets will appear before your payment information is collected
• You must present your SNAP/WIC along with your Maryland government issued ID to pick up your tickets for the day
• You will not be admitted without your Maryland access card and Maryland ID

Join the Maryland Science Center for a one-day Scouts BSA Robotics Workshop. Scouts (in 6th-12th grade) will learn about robots and programming, then design, build, and test a hydraulic arm. Prerequisites are requirements 1 and 7.

Earn your wolf elective by exploring the world of Paleontology at the Maryland Science Center. Turn fossils into a snack, create a dino dig to take home, and develop your fossil hunting skills. Enjoy some time in our Dinosaur Mysteries exhibit after it is closed to the public. Although this is a wolf elective, all cub scouts are welcome to sign up.

Earn your Tiger elective when you set sail to the Maryland Science Center. Identify different types of boats cruising the Inner Harbor, test what floats and what sinks and then create your own model boat using recycled materials. Although this is a Tiger elective, all cub scouts are welcome to sign up.

Earn your Arrow of Light elective by exploring the world of Engineering at the Maryland Science Center. Examine mechanical engineering blueprints, design and build a gadget and then use it to retrieve the items needed to build a flashlight. Although this is an AoL elective, Webelos are also welcome to sign up.

Earn your Bear elective at the Maryland Science Center. Learn about basic tools and their proper uses when you build a jumping peg game in our brand new maker space. Although this is a Bear elective, older cub scouts are welcome to sign up.

Earn your Webelo elective at the Maryland Science Center. Learn about basic tools and how to test for plumb, level and square when building a cub cache box in our brand new maker space. Although this is a Webelo elective, older cub scouts are welcome to sign up.

Once your prototype is complete showcase it to your fellow roboticists for feedback. This workshop will be a combined event with Senior Girl Scouts. 
 

Seniors:

Earn all 3 of your Robotics badges at the Maryland Science Center’s in-person workshop. Seniors will learn about robots, build a hydraulic arm, use software to program a robot, and build a prototype using easily accessible materials. Once your prototype is complete showcase it to your fellow roboticists for feedback. This workshop will be a combined event with Cadette Girl Scouts.

Fold and stitch your way to a unique book and use your creative side to paper marble a cover or endpapers. Both function and style will be explored in this half-day workshop.

Exhibits Admission

Admission to the Maryland Science Center includes three floors of exhibits. The Davis Planetarium is included with your admission, however there are specific showtimes and all showtimes and all shows are on a first-come, first-served basis.

The default date for purchasing the voucher is Christmas Day, but you have the flexibility to redeem it for any date. Vouchers are valid for 1 year and must be redeemed on site, online redemption is not currently available.
